The vision for our young people is that they:

  1. Will work towards being good citizens.
  2. Will be confident, self-motivated, lifelong learners, cultural sensitive and able to relate   across all cultures.
  3. Who will work to create an Aotearoa NZ that embraces the partnership values of Treaty of Waitangi.

2011

Posted by: | February 5, 2010 | No Comment |

What a busy year. We are wll into the setting up of the merger between Calton Hill , College Street and Caversham. Isn’t it exciting to see Calton Hill School site is staying. What great opportunities this will give the children of the area.  So far there is a new continuing Board of trustees  who are meeting every Tuesday to set in motion all the requirements for the new schools to start well next year. Very soon they will be advertising the Principal’s position. After this the teachers’ positions will be looked at.

Children are welcome to enrol any time. We have a lovely bunch of four year olds visiting each Friday with the New entrant Year one class and Mr Tili.

If you have any enquiries please contact our school secretary Mrs Taylor: 487 7465

We are constantly trying to change. Isn’t it exciting. Super in-service about key competencies has us all inspired. We will in 2010 be teaching our topics via the key competencies. Learning to learn is great for the children teaching real skills to obtain information.
