Tena Koutou. It is great to everyone back well rested and ready for the new term. Swimming has gone well. The children are showing good progress. We were proud of our children who played in the petanque tournament. It is great to see the trophy come into the school.
The Fair raised approximately $1,100. A huge thank you to everyone who helped before, during and after the fair. The fair would not be possible without this help.
Thanks to Mainfreight and Federated Farmers, Duffy schools throughout New Zealand have been presented with a copy of a book called ‘Ben & Mark, Boys of the High Country’ for our school library. This is a fantastic book that the children will enjoy.
Our value for the term is obedience. Our definition is ‘willingness to obey rightful authority’. Obedience promotes safety and freedom. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to discuss with their children WHO and WHAT they should obey.
Please remember that we have a ‘School Visits Programme’ for 4 year olds on Fridays. If you have or know of a 4 year old please consider coming along or call the office for more information.
Thought of the week: “Obedience alone gives the right to command”
We would like to thank Premier Transport for their support and sponsorship of the school.
